Undeserved Misfortune
One of my all time favorite misfortunes would lead to one of
Disney's classics, Lion King. The
director of the film demonstrates great grief and sorrow within the characters
despite the fact that it was all animated.
Due to the scenes in which demonstrate Simba (son) and Mufasa's (father)
relationship towards each other builds up our emotions throughout the story
line. Resulting into a tragic reaction
from us, the audience, when Mufasa had fallen into a stampede of wildebeest and
trampled to death in attempt to save his son.
In the grieving pain and mistaken belief that he was the reason for his
father's death Simba also reflects the emotion of sympathy and regret to the
audience. Such misfortune connects with
the audience in various ways as through those who lost a loved one or simply
through the pain that others feel towards those who suffer. This hardship truly portrays the concept of
how misfortunes contribute to a film.
