It all began this semester due to heavy assigned homework
and lack of sleep. One, night, the
night before one of my projects was due it took me about till 2 a.m. to finish
my assignment. I, of course do not
blame my teacher since I was the one in fault for procrastinating. Believing that after a long day and
night I was about to finally rest for at least three hours I was horribly
mistaken. At the beginning it
seemed as if a normal day was being put to rest but in reality it became the
contrary my body paralyzed yet, I was completely awake, consciously. Couldn’t move or talk I was still as a
stone. With no one to help me I would be yelling within. Yelling for my mom to
move me actually for anyone to come and move me awake me from this nightmare. Finally
finding a way to escape I realized I had only been “asleep” for 15 minutes. Now
I know this is sleep paralysis, the feeling of being conscious but not being
able to move. Never again will i procrastinate.
Wow! Tough lesson! Sleep paralysis is a steep price to pay for putting off your homework, but I do hope this lesson stays learned. It sounds terrifying! Now start getting to bed on time!
