Week of June 12

We have been filming in class the entire week except wednesday since thats was when we held the in school film festival.  i was privileges to attend for majority of my classes. I loved how i got to see the thoughts and creativity of other students

Week of June 5

Monday we finally found out third and final film idea.  Its quiet funny how this film isn't a lie even if its a comedy.  This film demonstrates in complete detail what we have been doing the entire year.

Week of May 29

Once again i guess the fact that we are seniors overpowers us and we become extremely lazy.  Its another unproductive week were all we do is use spotify.  Yes, i know its horrible but thats what we've been doing and I know that we will in fact be turning in things last minute.

Week of May 22

In truth we haven't done anything this week since we are waiting on Brandon's film and we have turned in out first film.  What we have been doing is brainstorming new film ideas and randomly pitching them to Mr. Lansdown.  Yet, besides that i could state that we have been wasting time and been doing other work not for this class

Week of May 15

Brandon states that he will film the time lapses clips for the his PSA film.  I  truly hope that it all works out since we've been waiting for this film to be done.  Sadly, there hasn't really been any process within this film.  I just hope at the end of the semester we have it done and ready.

Week of May 8th

This week we started to edit on saturday and we plan to finish our editing today.  In hopes that all comes out as planned we will perhaps publish the film today and turn it in.  We still need Brandon's PSA film about forrest fires and stopping the man made fires.

Week of May 1st

This week we indeed made process from almost finishing all the storyboard for Alexis film to filming the chase scene for his film as well.

Week of April 24th

This past week my production company have established process.  I currently am working on Alexis's storyboard for his film.  Apparently, Brandon is working on him musical film and had decided what song will be used as the main aspect for the film. The following week we are to record for Alexis film in which I am a girl that gets robbed as I walk down the street.

Week of April 17th

This week, we focused on a disagreement that was upon all three of my film group companions.  All three wanted to create their own film yet could could decided on which film to do.  Apparently it is possible to make more than three films therefore, we are going to film all three other ideas.

Week of April 10

This week we checked out a camera to begin filming the first short scenes within out narrative film.  since we are obviously not professional actors the fact to keep a straight face while the tape is rolling becomes difficult.  Yet, so far we have established that this upcoming Sunday we will be recording once again.

Week of April 3

   This week my production group have discussed our upcoming film ideas and have decided on how we will approach each chosen genre since we have already have established our first film.

Week of March 27: Film Production

The members within my group known as, Take Flight Productions, are Brandon Mayorga, Brian Rico, Alexis Cuellar, and me- Daisy Ramos.  Our film consists of a horror movie that will have the audience on their tip toes filled with suspense.

Problems & Struggles

Problems and struggles that high school students face on a daily bases ranges from minor issues such as difficulties understanding their homework to larger much more dangerous encounters such as physical abuse.  Take for example, high schools tend to present an assembly dedicated to bullying due to its growth among high school students, approximately every semester. Perhaps the bullying is not shown through bruises and scars yet, bullying presents it’s self through various forms. Personally I believe that verbal abuse is the greatest demonstrated among Hispanic cultures due to the belief that words cannot harm the individual. Especially when it is presented among family members such as a father and son or within siblings.   Words don’t seem to cause any damage yet, at times what is not seen is what causes the greatest harm.  Personally, I believe that physical abuse is focused on to intently that verbal and emotional abuse is not taken in consideration that there needs to be a change within those two sub-branches of bullying.

The Most Interesting Person in the World

My grandfather is a man that carries with him stories from his past and modern times that he has encountered.  Due to his nationality of being born in Mexico and crossing over the boarder to the United States he has experienced and seen as well as heard from his siblings various bizarre moments in which have become into entertaining stories.  Take for consideration the story in which he told at my birthday party reunion among my family members consisting of scorpions and a life lesson.  Since I am now eighteen years old he shares his experiences with me about when he was 18 years old himself in Mexico on my great grandpa’s ranch.   He would have to go to the fields and work among rocks and filth to package “nopales” as he calls it.  Yet, throughout those years on the fields he has been stung about 8 times with scorpions that  hide among the rocks.

My Anti-Drug

My anti-drug is simply listening to music.  I personally, do not have a specific kind of genre that I stick to when choosing my music perhaps if I were to choose one it would be indie or pop. When I do listen to a specific song it tends to be the result of browsing through Itunes, spotify, soundcloud and etc.  Music not only carries a pleasant beat and rhythm but also speaks through the lyrics it holds. At times you do not find the songs but instead the song ends up finding you and speaking exactly your issue through its poetical lyrics.  Perhaps not all music is for everyone but there is at least one song out there for every individual.  Songs that trend, personally in my opinion, are meant to bring us together through its music yet, those unique pieces we find on our own are what makes us who we are.  They define us and give us character for the better to improve and expand as an individual.

What I learned: The Inconvenient Truth

Personally, as I watched this film among my classmate, it got me thinking, this film may be based on a larger portion of the worlds population perspective.  However, why shall we look into a larger portion of civilization when within this classroom itself student could be insensible towards the facts before them.  I personally view that those who reject the truth and its facts tend to resemble stubborn mules in which until their owner strikes then they will move.  Which in this case we are the mules and soon the irresolvable outcome of our ignorance will strike us although till it will be too late.  This documentary is not new information for the world it is a simple summary in hope to awake those who ignore and push away the issue.  Evidence such as the sea level rising and eliminating tons of homes, business, and etc. were used within the film in hope that if with logic people are not moved perhaps through emotions.  Ignorance is no longer an excuse over the issue of climate change and its effect yet, it seems that stubbornness has much more power to influence than truthful facts.
